Adrian John Wright

Adrian John Wright, 49, passed away Aug. 5, 2025.

Adrian worked in the biotech industry for over 25 years. He was a graduate of Des Moines Area Community College in Ankeny, Iowa with an associates degree in Robotics & Control Systems Engineering Technology. His favorite hobbies were building computers and gaming. He also had an affinity for black powder rifle reenactments. Adrian was an avid hiker, camper and loved being outdoors. He had a love for insects. On family vacations, stops along the highway were made to pick milkweed or some other plant to feed his butterflies and moth caterpillars that he had collected as eggs and hatched.

He was, if anything, a pizza connoisseur, with his favorite pizza joint being Il Forno Pizzeria in Frederick, Md. Adrian also enjoyed making his own deep dish crust pizza in cast iron skillets. While living in Louisiana, he found a great love of tasso. He will be remembered for his quirky sense of humor and the kindness he showed to others.

Survivors include his sister, Kim King; brother-in-law, Kevin King; uncles and aunts, Bob and Anita Trout, Jerry and Kay Trout, Tom and Sheila Trout, John Trout, Donnie and Buenafe Trout, Steve Trout and Randia Ramzi, Beck and Kent Faughander, Andy and Mary Jo Trout; cousins, Molly (David Fuechesel) Trout, Paul (Debbie Gail) Trout, Alex Trout, Nathan Trout, Diana (Paul Jason Cook) Trout, Nelson and Brittany Trout, Carrie Taylor, Tasha Trout, John Trout, Jacob Trout, Kaci and Evan Vannoy, Judy and John Trout, Shaun and MJ Trout, Ashley and Jason Boyer, Chelsea and Alexandria Trout, Devin and Kayla Trout, Renee and Gabriel Figueroa, Kelly and Greg Wall, Ryan and Chelsea Trout, Brittany Trout, Lia and Kevin Potratz, Monica and Robert Friedman, and many other friends and family.

Adrian was predeceased by his parents, Dennis and Susan Wright; his paternal grandparents, David and Corrine Wright; aunt and uncle, Kathy and Dick Heiken; maternal grandparents, Nelson and Louise Trout; and cousin, Kayla Trout.

A memorial service will be planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local mental health organization or to a charity of your choice.
