Bruce William Hurd

Bruce William Hurd, 68, passed away on August 29, 2022, in Lake Charles, Louisiana.  Bruce was a beautiful person who spread joy and happiness to those close to him.  Bruce was loved by the Lake Charles community and was known simply as a good man.

Bruce was preceded in death by his father, George William Hurd; his grandparents, Peter, and Marie Smith; two sisters, Geisele and Cassandra Hurd; and his soulmate, Maybelle Bartie.  Bruce left behind his mother, Brunetta Smith; four brothers, Ronald, Dwayne, Kent, and Jeffery Hurd; three sisters, Benita Hurd, Donna Tuggle, and Audrady Garland; four aunts, Elaine Hill, Cynthia Smith, Rose Smith, and Alma Johnson.  He is also survived by a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.

As per the family’s request, Bruce will be mourned privately.
