Everett Mark Miller, Jr.

January 7, 1957 — May 3, 2022

 Everett Mark Miller Jr., 65 of Grand Lake, LA and a former native of Houma, LA passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, in the care of Harbor Hospice.

He leaves to honor his memory; his loving wife of 41 years, Lydia Louviere Miller of Grand Lake; two sons, Everett Mark Miller III and wife Heather of Lake Charles, LA and Dylan Miller of Grand Lake LA; one granddaughter, Brielle Miller; brothers, Larry Miller (Callie) of Lake Charles, LA, Allen Miller (Raelynn) of Lake Charles, LA, and Herman Williams (Linda) of Houston TX; sisters, Dana Cooley (John) of Houma, LA, Carmen Duplechin (Gary) of Nacogdoches, Tx, Renee Bertrand of Welsh, LA, Michelle Miller of Lake Charles, LA, Patricia Mouton of Baton Rouge, LA; mother in law Sandra Louviere of Houma, LA.

He was preceded in death by his father, Everett M. Miller Sr. and stepmother, Emerline Miller; mother, Sherrill Fangui Benoit and stepfather, Douglas Benoit; brothers, Tyler James and Jason Miller; stepbrothers, Boyd and Charles Williams; and father-in-law, Hugh Whitey Louviere.

He enjoyed playing guitar, spending time with his family, especially his pride and joy, his beautiful granddaughter who always brought a smile to his face. He also loved gardening and was an avid carpenter.

Memorial service honoring his memory will be held on Monday, May 9, 2022. Visitation begins at 12:00pm-2:00pm with service beginning at 2:00pm at Simple Traditions by Johnson Funeral Home on 5th Avenue. Burial will be held at a later date at St. Francis #2 Cemetery, Houma, La.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thanks to Harbor Hospice for the excellent care and compassion throughout his illness.
