Gwendolyn Hamilton

January 22, 1955 — May 31, 2025

Gwendolyn Marie Hamilton, a cherished wife, devoted mother, loving grandmother, and treasured friend, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2025, at the age of 70. Born on January 22, 1955, in Lake Charles, Louisiana to Wade and Thelma Cormier. Gwen was a constant source of love and light in the lives of those who knew her.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 51 years, Robert Hamilton, as well as her beloved children, Nikki Ramsey and her husband Ross, and Clint Hamilton. Gwen was also the proud grandmother to Madison Hamilton and her fiancé Jacob Lonkowski, Ashton Hamilton, Ava Morris and her husband Colton, Alyse Ramsey, Ryder Ramsey, Bear Ramsey and Allie Ramsey; and great-grandson, Hudson Morris. Her faith in Jesus Christ provided her strength and solace, particularly during the last two years of her life.

Known for her quiet demeanor and beautiful smile, Gwen's greatest joy came from her family, particularly her grandchildren, who were the center of her universe. She embraced every moment spent with them, showering them with an abundance of love, kisses, and unforgettable Christmas memories. Gwen's favorite time of the year was the holiday season, where she took great delight in giving gifts and spreading cheer among her loved ones.

Her family will remember her for the unconditional love that she so freely offered and for the warmth and comfort she brought into their lives. Gwen's presence will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love and faith will continue to inspire all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children Hospital in memory of Gwen, whose generous spirit touched countless lives. Family extends a heartfelt thank you to Brighton Bridge Hospice for the wonderful care they provided.

A private celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
