Heather Elizabeth Stockwell, 42, unexpectedly left this life on June 23. Heather went to elementary and middle school in Olney, Maryland, and briefly attended high school in Jessup, MD. She moved to Lake Charles with her family at the end of 1998 and graduated from Barbe High School in 2000. She earned a degree in Criminal Justice from McNeese State University in 2012.
Heather loved playing the guitar, video games, traveling, and was a huge fan of the TV show Bob's Burgers. Professionally, Heather was a delight to her coworkers and brought laughs to countless people everywhere she went.
Heather was the treasure of her family with her bright smile, infectious laughter, and her humor. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles "Mike" Stockwell. '
Left to treasure her memory, Heather is survived by her mother, Sheila Stockwell; her sisters, Meredith Gray and husband Bob; Lesli Stockwell and husband Dr. Jack Exum; Ashlee Stockwell and her partner Alex Baranda; and her beloved brother Nathan and wife Stephanie Stockwell. She is also survived by her nephews Christian and William Turner, and Desmond Stockwell, and her precious fur babies Jynxy, Cleo, and Mr. Midnight.
Heather has left her family and friends a legacy of her melodious voice and guitar skills, beautiful smiles, a generous spirit, a unique giggle, and endless humor. She will be sorely missed.
Please join the family to celebrate her extraordinary life Saturday, July 5, 2025 in the chapel of Sale St. Baptist Church. Services led by Pastor Dru Mills will begin at 11am. Visitation to begin 10am until time of service.
