James C. Smithkors

James C. Smithkors of DeRidder, LA passed away January 24, 2023 at the age of 80.

James was born and raised in Pennsylvania, but relocated to Louisiana where he settled, created a family he loved, and lived a wonderful life. James was a United States Navy Veteran. He also served his community through a career with the Beauregard Parish School Board. James loved his cookies, reading, and most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.

James is survived by the mother of his children and friend, Evelyn Smithkors of DeRidder; his beloved children Joanna Harper (Teddy) of Ragley, Janice Smithkors of DeRidder, and James A. Smithkors of DeRidder; Seven grandchildren James Harper (Lauren), Stephanie Derouen (Jayce), Corey Harper, Rhiannon Smithkors, AJ Smithkors, Hannah Cates, and MyKayla Smithkors; and Five great-grandchildren Brayden Harper, Trace Derouen, Grant Derouen, Jason Smithkors, and Collins Harper.
