John Gordon Willis of Lake Charles, Louisiana, passed away on April 29th, 2026

John was a man who truly enjoyed life’s simple pleasures. He loved fishing – if anyone was heading out, he was already in the car ready to go. He also had a passion for all types of video games and was known for his playful spirit. John had a special way of being silly and making others laugh, bringing joy to those around him.

Above all, John was deeply excited to see both of his children grow up and succeed as well as he did being an uncle to many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his loving wife, Christine Willis; his children, Mary Elizabeth Willis and John Gordon Willis Jr.; his father, Harold Willis; and his siblings, Gordon and Timea Willis, Anthony and Crystal Willis, and Curtis and Bernadette Willis. John is preceded in death by his mother, Andreniki Carlson.

A memorial service to honor and celebrate John’s life will be held on:
