Joyce dedicated herself to her family, raising her children with faith, compassion, and a gentle spirit that touched everyone she met. Known for her warm smile, her generosity, and her gift for making others feel seen and loved, she carried a quiet grace throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bouvey and Mildred Vaughn, her sister Rosella Sanders, and her brother Albert Vaughn, her grandson Brodie Boudreaux, and her beloved companion John Rutledge.

She is survived by her son Troy Rhodes and his wife Amanda, along with their daughters Zoey and McKayla Rhodes; her daughter Sabrina Rhodes and grandson Dylan Richard; and her daughter Victoria Babin and her husband Bobby, along with their children Joshua Bergeron, Tabitha Bergeron, Sierra Kober, Bailey Babin, and Bobby Babin Jr. She is also survived by her sisters Rita Vaughn and Elsie Vaughn, who will forever cherish her memory.

A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, from 1pm - 3pm at Simple Traditions by Johnson, 3448 5th Ave., Lake Charles, LA where family and friends will gather to honor her legacy of love, faith, and resilience.
