Marsha Ann Misner, age 72, passed away on August 21, 2026, at her home in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

Marsha was born in Lake Charles to James “Jim” and Mary “Faye” Misner. She was a graduate of LaGrange High School and later attended McNeese State University. Marsha spent her career working as a florist, including working at Louis’ Florist Shop and Wendi’s Flower Cart. Her work was a fitting reflection of her deep love and appreciation for flowers.

Marsha had a gentle love for animals, especially her cats, who brought her companionship and joy throughout the years. Among her beloved cats were Missy, Tommy, Scotter, and Rosie. She also loved cooking and spending time surrounded by the things that brought beauty and comfort to her life.

Marsha was a member of the Catholic faith and was a member of Immaculate Conception Cathedral of Lake Charles.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James “Jim” and Mary “Faye” Misner, and her brother, Terry Misner.

Those left to cherish her memory include her nieces, Erin Dartez and husband, Stewart, and Megan Walden; her great-nieces, Mackenzie Dartez and DonnaGayle Walden; and her cousins, Dr. Mike and Laurie Kent.

Marsha will be remembered for her love of flowers, animals, and family, and for the quiet beauty she brought into the lives of those around her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family and all who knew her.

Cremation has been entrusted to Simple Traditions by Johnson Funeral Home.
