Nancy Elyse Crockett

July 29, 1944 — March 11, 2026

Nancy Elyse Crockett, 81, of Lake Charles, died March 11, 2026 in a local healthcare facility.

She will be most remembered for her love and devotion to her family and spending time with her grandchildren.

She spent much of her life working as a dedicated waitress, where her warm personality and strong work ethic left a lasting impression on all who knew her. In the later years of her career, she devoted herself to caring for others as a caretaker, a role she fulfilled with kindness and compassion for the last ten years.

She enjoyed bowling and was a member of a bowling league for many years, of which she looked forward to her time with those friends. She also loved to travel, with California holding a special place in her heart as a favorite vacation destination.

A woman of Catholic faith, she lived with strength and admirable independence throughout her life. She will be remembered as a beautiful, strong, and independent woman.

She had a charismatic and outgoing personality that could light up any room. Her infectious smile and uplifting spirit brought joy to those around her and will be deeply missed.

She leaves to cherish her memory, three children, Andrew Paul Crockett, Sr. and wife Carolyn Lovett, Amanda Rose Crockett and Michael Paul Berglund; grandchildren, Allyson Renee Cooley, Brant Joel Cooley, Alexis Lawrence and husband Evan, Sara Lynn Crockett and Andrew Paul Crockett, Jr.; great grandchildren, Emberlly E. Mullens, Evalyn J. Mullens, Edyn T. Verkler, Nevaeh Lawrence and Noah Lawrence.

She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Francis Crockett and daughter, Angela "Yaya" Row.

Mass this Sunday, March 22, 2026 at Our Lady of Good Council Catholic Church on Aqua Drive will be held in Mrs. Crockett's name.
