Paul Matthew Ardoin passed from this earthly life on July 1, 2025 at the age of 65. He was the 2nd child of 3 children born to his parents, Dr. Charles J. Ardoin and Ilene Hudson Ardoin. Paul was born October 5, 1959 at St. Patrick Hospital in Lake Charles.
Paul was a bright child and despite his younger age, he followed his brother, CJ, in every endeavor. The family enjoyed many camping vacations all across the country, with Daisy, Arkansas being the family’s favorite. Paul was an avid water skier and enjoyed watersports throughout his young adult life. Scouting was an important family activity, and the entire family was deeply involved at every level.
Paul was a 1977 graduate of St. Louis Catholic High School. He went on to complete a 2-year drafting degree from McNeese State University. He used his degree in a career in industrial pipeline design with Westlake Chemical and later with Levingston Engineers in Sulphur. HIs most recent employment was with Lake City Trucking and then with Martin Transport for the last years of his life.
After high school, Paul joined the Navy and served for 4 years where he was a proud member of the crew of the frigate, USS Schofield, FFG-3. He was good with his hands and almost completely rebuilt his parents’ camp on the West Fork of the Calcasieu River. He enjoyed fishing when time allowed. He loved spending time with family and friends and his devoted dog, Bebe, and before Bebe, there was Patch.
Paul was preceded in death by his fiance, Brenda Martin, and his loving parents. He was formerly married to LuAnn Wallace and Jackie Ardoin. He was a proud step-father to the children of his former spouses but had no children of his own. He is survived by his brother, Dr. CJ Ardoin II (Kim), his sister, Antoinette Woodard (Rod), nieces Lindsey Janies (Adam), Danielle Musgrove (Colton), and Ashley Woodard; nephews Chase Ardoin (Alonna) and Mark Ardoin (Johnny).
