Peggy Jean Prusa Bourque, 54, of Lake Charles, Louisiana, passed away surrounded by love. Peggy wore Jesus on her shoulders, living her faith through kindness, compassion, and unconditional love.
She was a graduate of Barbe High School and Demmons School of Beauty. A dedicated hairdresser, Peggy had a gift for making people feel beautiful and accepted. She was married to Kevin Duplechin for 14 years and was a devoted mother to Chancellor Bourque, Charleston Bourque, and Olyvia Bourque.

She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Charles Prusa.
She will be deeply missed, but her love, faith, and legacy will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew her.
Her funeral service will be held at 10:30 Friday, January 2, 2026 at Simple Traditions by Johnson Funeral home, 3448 5th Ave, Lake Charles. Rev. Dillard Duplechin will officiate. Visitation Friday will be from 9:30 AM until the time of service in the funeral home.
