Phillip Wade Miller

Phillip Wade Miller, 51, of Iowa, LA. passed away peacefully surrounded by family at his home on the morning of Saturday, January 10, 2026.

He faced this battle with strength and a fierceness that inspired us all, and he never gave up. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.

Phillip was born on February 6, 1974 in Lake Charles, LA to parents, Billy Ray Miller and Joy Rita Thibodeaux Miller. He graduated from LaGrange Senior High School Class of 1992. Phillip was employed by Bowie Outfitters and previously with the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Department. He was always an avid advocate for law and order and thoroughly enjoyed building and repairing various firearms and computers.

Phillip Wade Miller is survived by his loving, loyal and most devoted wife, Angie Holman Miller; his sons, Patrick Miller, Gabriel Miller and Alex Holman; his daughters, Victoria Miller, Sophia Miller and Emelie Holman Laughlin; his father, Billy Ray Miller (Shelda Kay); his brother, Steven Ray Miller (Julie); numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and of course, his best friend and faithful companion, fur baby, Sawyer Brown.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Joy Rita Thibodeaux Miller; his brother, Erick W. Miller; his maternal grandparents, Arthur Ray and Irene Thibodeaux and paternal grandparents, Russell and Goldie Miller.

Phillip Miller’s family would like to personally thank Heart of Hospice and Carmichael’s for their unwavering support and compassion for our husband, son and brother during this difficult time.

A Memorial Service will be held to honor the memory of Phillip Wade Miller at 12:00 PM Friday, January 16, 2026 at Simple Traditions by Johnson Funeral Home, 3448 5th Avenue Lake Charles, LA. Family and friends will gather from 10:00 AM until the time of service in the funeral home.
