Robert Wilson Colquette, Jr. (Bob) was born September 7, 1952, in Monroe, Louisiana. His family moved to Elizabeth, Louisiana, where he spent most of his childhood.
He was preceded in death by his parents Robert Wilson Colquette, Sr. and Virginia McCants Colquette of Fisher, Louisiana.
Bob is survived by his wife BJ Colquette, a daughter Mariah DeBats and husband Jason of Lake Charles, Louisiana; a son Jesse Colquette and wife Sabrina Cooper Colquette of Ft. Worth, Texas; one granddaughter Silven DeBats of Lake Charles; a sister Sandra Colquette Hubbard and husband Jerry of London, Kentucky; and a host of family and friends to mourn his passing
Bob was a graduate of Elizabeth High School and a Veteran of the United States Air Force. He graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University, Shawnee, Oklahoma; and Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Kansas City, Missouri. He served as minister for many different Baptist Churches as he was called. He also served as chaplain at St. Patrick's Hospital, Lake Charles, LA and retired from Phelps Correctional Center, DeQuincy LA as a chaplain.
Bob has been a servant of our Lord for his entire life. His homecoming to be with his Lord that he loved was on September 12, 2024, being 72 years and 5 days of age.
Memorial Services for Bob Colquette will be held at Calcasieu Bethany Baptist Church, LeBleu Settlement, Lake Charles, Louisiana, on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at 10:45 AM.
