Sharron, born on March 23, 1956, at Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family after a courageous battle with cancer. Her life's journey was one of devotion, warmth, and unwavering care for those around her.

Raised by her loving parents, the late Morris Lee Sisson, Sr., and Alfreda Stuart Sisson Rector, Sharron's gentle spirit was shaped by the close-knit bonds of her family. She was predeceased by her father, mother, stepmother Mary Alice Sisson, and her cherished grandparents, Ira Irl & Myrtle Stuart and Hubert & Lucinda Penney Sisson. She also grieved the loss of her nephew Joseph Lee Sisson, stepbrothers Tommy Larkin and Bobby Cavitt, stepsister Mary Louise Nellis, and cousin Sabrina Green.

Sharron leaves behind a legacy of love through her children, John Clinton "Clint" Dodson and Dana Monique Dodson, and her adored grandchildren, Dohnte, Drayden, and Danaya Thomas. Her surviving family also includes her brothers Morris Lee Sisson, Jr. and wife Misty, James "Junior" Rector and wife Sherry, and her sister Melanie Poston. She is remembered fondly by her stepmother Charlene Sisson, stepsisters Angelina Sweeney and Stephanie Coker with husband Tony, stepbrother Billy Stewart, aunt Brenda Hixon with husband Cliff, and uncle James "Jim" Stuart with wife Rose.

A proud graduate of Leesville High School in Leesville, Louisiana, Sharron pursued her passion for helping others by earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from McNeese State University. Her career as a Registered Nurse was marked by dedication and compassion. From her work at West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital, Women and Children's Hospital, Lake Charles Memorial Hospital, Brighton Bridge Hospice and Holly Hill Nursing Home, Sharron was a beacon of care and kindness. She cherished her time at Holly Hill, Over decades of nursing, she shared her expertise and mentored many budding nurses.

Sharron's faith was an integral part of her life, and she found solace and community at Christian Life Church in Sulphur, Louisiana. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her professional life into her personal passions. She delighted in the beauty of flowers and the grace of hummingbirds, but nothing brought her greater joy than spending precious moments with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren.

Throughout her life, Sharron embodied a loving and caring personality. She was known for her willingness to lend a helping hand and her innate desire to give to others. Her true servant's heart touched all who knew her, leaving an indelible mark of love and kindness.

Her legacy of compassion and love will continue to inspire all those who were fortunate to know her. Sharron will be deeply missed, but her spirit lives on in the hearts of her family and friends, forever cherished and never forgotten.
