Vinton, LA

Steven Charles Rossiter, 76, of Lake Charles, LA passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2026 when he tragically lost his life to a motor vehicle accident.

Mr. Rossiter was a well-respected leader, mentor, and friend who helped guide countless others with strength, commitment, and heart. Mr. Rossiter was born in Philadelphia, PA, and lived most of his life in Lake Charles. Following High School graduation, he served in the United States Army as a 1st Lieutenant. Mr. Rossiter was an avid fan of the Houston Astros and the Philadelphia Phillies. He loved Jazz music, RV travel and camping across the country, and even spent time working as a campground supervisor. He was a talented craftsman who enjoyed woodworking and would spend much of his time creating thoughtful gifts for friends and loved ones.

A man devoted to his Catholic faith and to his family, Steven served as a Eucharistic minister, RCIA teacher, and religious education volunteer. He was also a member of the ACTS community.

Mr. Rossiter will be remembered as an independent man with a creative mind. Most of all, he will be remembered for his unwavering love for his wife, his deep devotion to his family, his adoration for his grandchildren, and for ALWAYS being there.

(Lori); his daughter, Kristine Renee Rossiter Seaward; four grandchildren, Christian Robert Seaward, Briley Michelle Rossiter, Madison Rae Seaward Floyd (Trey), and BM3 Kamden Robert Rossiter, USCG; his sister, Sandi Davis Hughes; many dear friends; and his best friend of all, his rescue, Buddie.
